Swords, Co. Dublin, March 19, 2025: On May 10, thousands of Catholics across Ireland will gather in their local communities to participate in Rosary Rallies as part of the world’s largest Rosary Rally Crusade. The initiative is sponsored by Ireland Needs Fatima, a campaign of the Irish Society for Christian Civilisation, and has been held annually since 2013 on the Saturday closest to May 13, the anniversary of Our Lady of Fatima’s first apparition.
Inspired by America Needs Fatima, which holds over 20,000 similar events across the United States annually in October, this event has two goals: To make reparation to God for sin and a plea for His urgent help to save Ireland from the rising threat of Satanism.
On May 10, thousands of additional Rosary Rallies will be coordinated by America Needs Fatima and South Africa Needs Our Lady, occurring simultaneously across North America and the African continent.
This global initiative unites Catholics in prayer and penance in accordance with Our Lady of Fatima’s request in 1917. Those interested in leading a rally in their community can register online on the isfcc.org website and will receive a 6-foot banner of Our Lady, along with a 16-page manual containing rally instructions.
Mr Gregory Murphy of Ireland Needs Fatima, said: “Organising a rally is not difficult or overwhelming. All you need to do is invite friends and family, and pray the Rosary for one hour in a public space. Already, 270 captains agreed to lead a Rosary Rally this year. Momentum is definitely building quickly. Interest is high.”
These Rosary Rallies are a powerful proclamation of faith in a secular world and a direct response to Our Lady’s request at Fatima to “pray the Rosary every day in order to obtain peace for the world.”
Mr Rory O’Hanlon, founder and member of the Irish Society for Christian Civilisation, urges Irish Catholics to stand up and defend their faith. “Due to the re-paganisation of Ireland, faithful Catholics must not hide their faith but take it to the public square,” he said. “With God’s grace, the land of saints and scholars can rise again to serve the Holy Mother Church and restore Christian civilisation.”
Mr Murphy added: “What society needs most right now is a moral conversion. Through the public recitation of the Rosary, we have witnessed souls return to God and transform their lives.”
“Ireland has always cherished the Holy Rosary,” said Mr. Murphy. “When Oliver Cromwell attempted to subdue the Irish, he famously complained that his cannons and guns were powerless against the Irish who held their Rosaries high. Today, the Rosary continues to be our best spiritual weapon, a powerful shield against darkness, and we must hold it high. Let’s unite in prayer, raise our Rosaries, and place our trust in the coming triumph of the Immaculate Heart of Mary in Ireland and the world.”
